You can also control how your sims population is created by setting age ranges, gender and how many homeless are generated. I play rotationally, so being able to to set my own relationship decay values is really, really useful. You can select any sim you can see and then flag that sim to freeze their physique, not age, not be culled, etc. MCCC provides ways of flagging individual sims which I find really useful.
