There is a larger increase in drop rates between p1 and p3 than there is between any other immediate breakpoint increase such as p3 to p5 or p5 to p7. The xp from monsters and life/dmg etc of the monsters I guess would still increase with each single increase in player setting, but according to the drop calcs, the drop rates do not. Meaning p1-p2 are the same, p3-p4 are the same, p5-p6, and p7-p8. The drops rates seem to change at p3, p5, and p7. Only when you go up to p3 do the drop rates increase.
For example a drop calc would show that p1 has the same drop rates as p2. Using a drop calculator you can see the there are certain "breakpoints" so to speak for increased drop rates. I'm curious behind the reasoning for you thinking p3 is the best for mf.
